HWUM IMechE Student Awards 2020

The IMechE Student Awards are given annually to Mechanical Engineering students who are outstanding, be it through their academic excellence or projects.

This year's winners are:

1. Rajiv William Rade Dharma Seelan - The Frederic Barnes Waldron Best Student Award

2. Sim Zhi Hoong - Project Award

3. Albert Wijaya - Best Project Certificate

4. Lai Chun Haw - Best Student Certificate (MEng)

5. Lim Kien Gi - Best Student Certificate (BEng)

The award ceremony took place on 10 September 2020.

Guest speakers included:

1. Prof. Denny Ng - Associate Head of EPS at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia

2. Ir. Dr. Shasthri Sivaguru - Programme Director for Mechanical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia

3. Ts. Noor Shieela bt. Kalib - Academic Liaison Officer of HWUM IMechE and Assistant Professor at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia

4. Ir. Chua Yaw Long - Vice-Chair of International YMC and SEAR Young Members Representative at IMechE
